Since 2007, the People’s Republic of Stokes Croft – PRSC – has worked tirelessly to promote civil liberty with a particular focus on public space. Sweeping, painting and speaking out are part of their resistance to zealous overregulation of independent initiative. Their lead has arguably encouraged others to do the same and, as a result, Stokes Croft remains a hub of confident and creative dissent.

For the last 18 years PRSC has been incredibly proud to be able to support our local community, but now we need your help. We provide services and support for vulnerable communities; distributing tents, sleeping bags, and magazines, running free art sessions and workshops, and hosting open exhibitions and events. But we can’t do it alone. Like so many, the ongoing cost of living crises have hit us hard.
